Give yourself your due, year in review.

How much hobbying did you get in last year? How did you improve yourself, your home, your family, or your work?

Text loses something in translation as it has no tone, so I am not accusing you of anything I am asking you a serious question and hoping for a serious answer. How have you improved your life?

The reason I ask this is that as I may have mentioned once or twice, thrice, perhaps more than that I studied psychology and you know what we are really not good at? Gratitude, acceptance and insight.

We latch on to what we do wrong because that is what can kill us! We are always out to find the snake in the grass, spot the grizzly foraging for food or remember what Kevin did… in front of the whole tribe… Kevin… how am I ever going to live down the monkey bum dance? How.

So I am asking you to do the exact same thing I am doing right now. Go to wherever you keep your records of what you have done for your hobby, if they are just physical take them out and look at them, if you have digital or analog records even better! Take a look at what you have done.

Having painted up all of the followers and the monsters from Gods of Egypt, I decided that I wanted to use the base colours as a ‘Mother colour’ for the gods and try and expand my abilities by using them for a mother colour study. I think it came out pretty well.
